First pistol course for athletes to begin in June

Welcome to our new pistol course, designed for shooting athletes seeking to advance their skills and knowledge.

The ISSF Academy is pleased to announce the launch of its new pistol course, an online programme designed for a global audience of shooting athletes seeking to advance their skills and knowledge.

This comprehensive course delivers an advanced level of training, focusing on key pistol disciplines including Air Pistol, Sport Pistol, and Rapid Fire Pistol. Participants will engage with a wide range of essential technical areas, such as competition preparation, mental training, stress management during competition, and physical conditioning.

Upon completion of the course, athletes will be equipped to enhance the quality of their overall sport preparation, ultimately contributing to improved performance and shooting results.

We emphasize that consistent daily practice is essential to translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills.

Beyond technical development, the course also fosters a strong and supportive international network, connecting athletes with professionals and peers from around the world.

The programme runs over a total duration of four weeks. Each week includes two lecture sessions, with each session lasting approximately two hours, including a short break.

The first edition of the ISSF Academy Pistol Course for athletes will commence on June 2, 2026.
