The ISSF Academy and the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring certified coaching education to India.

Through this agreement, Indian coaches now have the opportunity to attend ISSF Academy coaching courses on-site in India. In addition, the online C and D-level courses will continue as before. All courses will be delivered in close collaboration between the ISSF Academy and the NRAI.

The MoU was signed in New Delhi by ISSF Academy Director, Dr. Vesa Nissinen, and NRAI Secretary General Sultan Singh. Also present were ISSF Academy CEO Karoliina Nissinen, NRAI President Kalikesh Singh Deo, NRAI Education Director Pawankumar Singh, and Olympian Mansher Singh, member of the ISSF Shotgun Coaches Committee.

“By embedding international standards into our coaching structure, we are not only elevating the quality of mentorship at the elite level but also investing in the long-term development of talent at the grassroots,” said Singh Deo.

The first concrete step in the collaboration will be the organisation of an ISSF Academy B-level coaching course for pistol and rifle disciplines in India in early 2026.
